This month we celebrate civil rights leader Rosa Parks, who was born on February 4th in 1913. She was arrested in Alabama in 1955 when she refused to give up her seat on the bus to a white person. The arrest led to a public transit boycott, which ended in 1956 when the Supreme Court f the United States banned segregation on public transportation.
